Having secured their place at the finals last week, tournament plans are already being drawn up for  Fabio Capello’s men. 

Last year, the coach’s strict  regime was widely blamed as a contributing factor to the below-par performances and embarrassing World Cup exit after players were shut away in their camp for the best part of a month. 

England’s choice of World Cup base at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Complex came in for criticism. But the Football Association is looking to head down a different road after announcing the England party will be based in Poland for next summer’s tournament, which is  being jointly hosted by Ukraine. 

Club England managing director Adrian Bevington said: ‘We are  finalising a few contractual arrangements now. We will be in Poland but I won’t be able to say any more at this particular moment. 

‘We are not far away from [confirming the location] but out of  respect to all the people we have been dealing with, we have to get everything finalised before we make any public statement on it.’ 

FA chairman David Bernstein  insists England would be ‘good  tourists’ at future tournaments, promising they would stay in a more central location rather than remaining isolated, as was the case at last year’s World Cup when the team were based in Rustenburg. - http://www.metro.co.uk
