English Premier League
Brighton and Hove Albion 3-3 Leeds
September 24 2:45AM(GMT+8)
Having been outplayed for much of the first half, Brighton were the dominant force in the second period and seemed to have won it when Mackail-Smith broke free of the visiting defence to flick the ball under Leeds keeper Andy Lonergan for what seemed like the winner on 85 minutes.
Brighton were heading back to the top of the Championship at that point, but McCormack's second of the night rescued a point for Leeds that they barely deserved having toiled for much of the second half in defence.
The home side are third in the table on 17 points with Leeds ninth on 11 points. Incredibly, Leeds have scored 16 goals but conceded 15 in only eight league outings. They lost 3-0 to Manchester United in the Carling Cup on Tuesday, but are guilty of losing silly goals to lesser sides than United.
