Sunday's Championship clash postponed due to unsafe roads
Derby County's Championship match with local rivals Nottingham Forest has been postponed on safety grounds. The match was due to kick off at 12.15pm on Sunday but heavy overnight snow has left roads and pavements around the ground dangerous, and the club have called off the fixture after discussions with the match officials, police, the Football League and Forest. The Rams say inside Pride Park is safe and dry, however, they do not want fans to miss attending the game due to difficulty travelling to the stadium.
Derby chief executive Tom Glick told the club's official website: "The pitch is fine and inside the stadium is safe and dry. "However, the roads throughout the city and county are unsafe. "This is the biggest match of the year for our supporters and we wouldn't want anyone to miss it because they had difficulty getting to Pride Park Stadium." - http://www1.skysports.com/
