Aaron Lennon is likely to be missing for Spurs, meaning that Harry Redknapp will again have to find a solution to cure a lopsided midfield that has affected the north Londoners' performances in recent weeks. Spurs are also without long-term absentees Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone and Heurelho Gomes. Carlo Cudicini, Ryan Nelsen and Danny Rose are likely to deputise for the side's cup squad.
Ricardo Gardner, Lee Chung-Yong and Stuart Holden have been missing for the Trotters for much of the season and they have been joined by Fabrice Muamba as the midfielder continues to recover in intensive care after suffering a cardiac arrest in the tie's initial game. Top scorer Ivan Klasnic may return to the side after starting the weekend's win over Blackburn on the bench and Arsenal loanee Ryo Miyaichi is likely to continue on the left wing after a string of excellent performances since his temporary switch to the Reebok Stadium.
