Freedman hopes to keep hold of defender
Crystal Palace have offered Nathaniel Clyne an improved contract to stay at Selhurst Park.
Clyne has been strongly linked with a move away from Palace this summer when his contract expires.
Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the full-back, while a number of other clubs are also thought to be keeping tabs on Clyne's situation.
Eagles boss Dougie Freedman has confirmed the club have made him an improved offer as they look to keep hold of him.
"We've offered him a new contract, an improved one," Clyne told the South London Press.
"We're still trying to keep in line with the current wage structure and we're just waiting for Nathaniel to come back to us.
"I think he's progressing and should stay a little longer, he is getting better. He needs to be careful he doesn't jump ship too early but that is his choice."
