 THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Newcastle United’s midfield-defence figure James Perch backed defensive midfielder Cheick Tiote, saying that his dismissed teammate’s aggressive style is distinctive of the player.

Perch, whose Newcastle side played past through rival Sunderland in a 1-1 draw, said that Tiote’s aggression that led to a tackle on Steven Fletcher is his natural style, yet went on to say that the red card is properly decided by referee Martin Atkinson.
