The White Hart Lane manager, who is the favourite to succeed Fabio Capello as England boss, has insisted chairman Daniel Levy has not proposed an extended deal
Harry Redknapp has denied rumors that he has been offered a new contract to remain asTottenham manager. The 65-year-old coach has long been the firm favorite to land the England job following Fabio Capello's resignation in early February. However, although he revealed he speaks to the chairman Daniel Levy every day, Redknapp refuted claims that a new offer to stay at White Hart Lane is on the table.
“I speak to Daniel every day and he wants me to stay at the club," he said. "But at the moment he hasn't made me an offer of a contract and I haven't pushed him to either.”Redknapp also rejected questions on whether he had discussed future transfer targets with Levy during their meetings.
“We've never discussed spending money in the summer, or amounts of money,” he added. “It's never come up in conversation at all.”Tottenham travels to Everton on Saturday although Aaron Lennon and Michael Dawson will miss the Premier League tie after picking up injuries in Spurs’ 3-1 win over Stevenage in their fifth-round FA Cup replay on Wednesday. - http://www.goal.com/
