English League: Vuckic unsure about future

Slovenian is waiting to see where he will spend the rest of the season

Haris Vuckic revealed he could be loaned back out to Cardiff - just days after returning to Newcastle from the Welsh promotion chasers.

The Slovenian was expected to stay on at the Championship side after his loan expired on Saturday. But an injury to Peter Lovenkrands earned the 19-year-old a surprise recall to his parent club and a place on the bench in the defeat against Arsenal on Monday.

And Vuckic says he is now waiting to see if he will be helping Newcastle in their push for Champions League football next season or trying to earn Cardiff a place in the Premier League.During his loan spell Vuckic made five appearances in all for Cardiff and scored his first senior goal in a 3-1 win over Peterborough. - http://www1.skysports.com

Cardiff City Vs Hull City match preview

Rudy Gestede's participation remains in doubt as Cardiff host Hull in the npower Championship. The French striker has missed two games for the Bluebirds since limping off with a hamstring injury in a home defeat to West Ham. Gestede's absence, though, did not cause Cardiff many difficulties in attack as Joe Mason orchestrated Bristol City's two own goals in a 2-1 triumph on Saturday, and the 20-year-old is set to continue alongside Kenny Miller.

Hull could be without winger Robbie Brady. Brady, on a season-long loan from Manchester United, suffered a recurrence of a thigh injury, which had kept him out of the previous two matches prior to his return at the weekend in the home draw with Ipswich. The Irishman felt his thigh at half-time and was not risked in the the second period by manager Nick Barmby, who replaced him with Aaron Mclean.

Redknapp denies being offered new Tottenham contract

The White Hart Lane manager, who is the favourite to succeed Fabio Capello as England boss, has insisted chairman Daniel Levy has not proposed an extended deal

Harry Redknapp has denied rumors that he has been offered a new contract to remain asTottenham manager. The 65-year-old coach has long been the firm favorite to land the England job following Fabio Capello's resignation in early February. However, although he revealed he speaks to the chairman Daniel Levy every day, Redknapp refuted claims that a new offer to stay at White Hart Lane is on the table.

“I speak to Daniel every day and he wants me to stay at the club," he said. "But at the moment he hasn't made me an offer of a contract and I haven't pushed him to either.”Redknapp also rejected questions on whether he had discussed future transfer targets with Levy during their meetings.

“We've never discussed spending money in the summer, or amounts of money,” he added. “It's never come up in conversation at all.”Tottenham travels to Everton on Saturday although Aaron Lennon and Michael Dawson will miss the Premier League tie after picking up injuries in Spurs’ 3-1 win over Stevenage in their fifth-round FA Cup replay on Wednesday. - http://www.goal.com/
